Brady Carruth - President & CEO
Brady Carruth acquired 100% of the outstanding stock of London American Risk Specialists, Inc. in March of 2002. He has extensive business experience in the acquisition and operation of several distribution and service businesses in the Houston area. He has served on the Board of Directors of two NYSE public companies, including American General Corp. until its merger with American Intl. Group in August of 2001.
Mr. Carruth is a native Houstonian and earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance and Insurance from the University of Texas at Austin. He is active in the Houston community as well as several other civic and cultural endeavors serving as President of the Wortham Foundation, one of Houston's largest philanthropic institutions.
Eric Jansen - Controller/Vice President
Mr. Jansen has over fifteen years of experience in accounting and financial related positions. His experience includes senior level accounting positions with several insurance companies including Controller, Treasurer and Director of Underwriters Indemnity Insurance Group and Controller and Assistant Vice President of the Ranger Insurance Company and its subsidiaries. Mr. Jansen joined London American Risk Specialists, Inc. in March of 2002. He earned a BS in Accounting from Louisiana State University and holds an MBA from Loyola University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Zane Carson - Vice President - Marketing
Ms. Carson has worked in the insurance field for over 15 years, with experience in both retail and wholesale operations. She previously served as Vice President of WorkCare, Inc, a managed care workers' compensation company. She was responsible for all the sales and marketing functions of this multi-state company. Her background experience also includes managing an independent insurance agency for an absentee owner. Ms. Carson holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation and is an active member of the Society of Insurance Counselors.
Jennie Triola - Vice President - Transportation Department
Jennie Triola has over 20 years experience in the transportation industry. Ms.Triola began her insurance career in 1984 with Southwestern Surplus as a policy typist and moved her way up to underwriting, she has worked for several managing general agency's in Texas. Ms. Triola joined London American Risk Specialists, Inc. in 1997, she is now the manager of Motor Truck Cargo/Physical Damage Department developing a 6 million book of transportation business consisting of in house underwriting/binding as well as brokerage business.
Dick Davis - Branch Manager - Dallas Office
Mr. Davis has over 35 years of experience in the excess and surplus lines business with expertise in general liability and property areas and in the specialty areas of Energy, Public Entity and Utilities. Mr. Davis formed Crump-Davis, Inc. in partnership with the E.H. Crump Companies of Memphis in 1977. Prior to Crump-Davis, he was the Dallas branch manager of Swett & Crawford. . In 1987 Dick, along with Tom Eller, left Crump-Davis to start the surplus lines brokerage firm Criterion International Managers, Inc. Criterion later merged with Energy Risk Associates in 1998. Mr. Davis joined London American in 2003 as a Vice President of the Casualty Brokerage department in Dallas.
Tom Eller - Vice President - Public Entity/Energy - Dallas Office
Tom has over 24 years of experience in the wholesale surplus lines industry and has handled predominantly casualty business of all classes. These classes including but are not limited to Energy, Public Entity, Group Personal Excess, and E&O. Mr. Eller began his insurance career in June 1979 when he joined Crump-Davis in Dallas, Texas. In 1987 Tom, along with Dick Davis, left Crump-Davis to start the surplus lines brokerage firm Criterion International Managers, Inc. Criterion merged with Energy Risk Associates in 1998. He has enjoyed significant growth and success in the surplus lines business. Mr. Eller joined London American in 2003 as a Vice President of the Casualty Brokerage department in Dallas.
D. Mike Mullens - Social Service Underwriting Department Manager - Dallas Office
Mr. Mullens began his insurance career 34 years ago with Royal Globe Insurance Company after graduating from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a B.A. in History. He was CEO & President of Felts, Mullens & Fuos, from 1985/1995 and later branch manager & Vice President of Black White & Associates where he managed and underwrote a professional liability -social service program. Mr. Mullens is located in the Dallas office and manages the Social Service Underwriting and Brokerage Department.
Larry Vickery - Vice President - Memphis, TN
Mr. Vickery brings 41 years insurance experience to London American Risk Specialists, Inc. During that time he worked 21 years for Crump London Underwriters of Memphis managing the casualty lines, auto/trucking, umbrella, miscellaneous specialty lines and utilities and energy related risks. In 1988, Mr. Vickery opened Vickery & Associates, a wholesale operation specializing in utilities and other energy related risks. Mr. Vickery joined London American in 2005 specializing in the utility district insurance business.
